Please someone help

I have an atlantic 500cc sprint 2005. Someoine tried to pinch it but failed, the ignition was smashed off and the wires just left hanging down. I replaced the ignition switch, but unfortunately i purchased the incorrect one as it was for the 2004 model which doesnt have a transponder in the key. So when i turned on the ignition a red light on the dash with a picture of a key on it kept flashing.
My problem is that i am being informed by our local bike shop that i not only need a new ignition but also a full dash board which costs £890 + VAT. What i would like to know is what i am being informed by the bike shop true. Many thanks Andy.....

I am looking for a dash wiring loom and ignition for a atlantic 500 or would even buy a full scoot if you can help please let me know. Andy........
