RS125 Back Fire's When I Try to Start
Hello Everyone.
i own a 1996 Chesterfield rs125. i recently got the engine rebuilt and and race tuned. I've been having problems with it since. the first problem i had was, to much fuel was going through it and the carburetor (34mm Delorto) pissed fuel out the bottom! i bought a new carb for it (34mm Delorto) and fitted it, i then stated having problems with the bike not revving above 6000 rpm. the problem just seemed to get worse and worse every-time i started it, it now wont start at all and back fires when i do try to start it. i tried bump starting it but when i flicked it into second it just splutters and back fires at low revs then cuts out. i tried a new spark plug the other day and its exactly the same. the bike has the following modifications:
piper cross air filter
gianelli exhaust system
race tuned 123 rotax engine
34mm delorto carb 160 jet
boyseen reeds
if someone could get back to me with any ideas on what they may think it could be that would be much appreciated.
thanks
George Arthur
