Does derestricting an SR50 with remapping damage the engine?
I've just taken out the restrictor ring from the CVT. Adds about 5 km/hr top end so pretty nice for a quick, no charge fix. But I also saw on a British forum a comment that doing so without remapping will eventually damage the engine. Sounds like British poppycock to me since the computer control is so sophisticated I'd find that very unlikely. Anyone else think differently?
