Default Shiver Time

Having now spent some quality time in the saddle of my new Shiver I must say that this bike performs beautifully. Very quick out of the gate and very responsive. You can throw the bike around with a fair bit of ease and she responds without question. Very stable at high speeds, no discernable vibration through foot pegs or bars. Ridng position is excellent with no fatigue after 3 hours in the saddle. Driving in the sport mode offers plenty of torque however in the rain or touring mode she is alot tamer.

I love the exhaust note of the twin.

Was out at a BMW demo day and drove the R1100S. Very nice bike but I would not trade the Shiver.

The Shiver is a work of art. Everyone who sees it takes a double look. The gold trellis frame really stands out. Have had many compliments on the bike and lots of people fishing around for a test ride. The headlight throws a ton of light at night as well.

Looking forward to some track time to see what she can really do.

Shivers are reflexes (say: ree-fleks-iz), which are things your body does automatically to keep you safe and healthy. Reflexes are controlled by your nervous system, which is made up of your brain, your spinal cord, and lots and lots of little nerves that stretch out all over your body. Nerves are like little strings or wires that carry information.

What kind of information? Well, your nerves sense that the cool water of the lake has lowered your body temperature. Your body needs to stay at a toasty 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celsius) for you to be safe and comfortable. The nerves send signals saying, "I'm cold! Warm me up!"
