Looking at a SL1000 _ Have Questions

Hello - I am checking a 2001 SL1000 with 14k miles in great looking condition. I am looking to replace my Honda VFR. I needed to check if there are any problems getting parts for the SL1000, any known issues mechanically (I have checked reviews on web and found nothing bad at all), frequency/cost of maintenance

I am in NYC and before I buy the Aprilia SL1000 Falco I wanted to find check for shops that would do work on the bike and do general maintenance on the bike. The shops I found in NYC would only work on Aprilia bikes from 2005 and up. In NYC a lot of dealers and repair shops do not have mechanics who really know bikes and can fix bikes. I just wanna ride!!!!! Any additional information would be appreciated

The bike is great! You wont regret buying it. What year is your vfr?
