Interested in 2004 Tuono

Seriously considering a low mileage Aprilia Touono. Has upgraded titanium exhaust and other goodies. $5000 is the price. I think it is a good price given the condition. My research shows a 4.8 gallon tank. What would be the expected fuel mileage with conservative riding style? I do day rides in remote areas and need 150-160 range between fill ups. Also, does the 2004 model have the complex anti-theft electronics of the new models, i.e. key dedicated key recognition etc.? Any other comments re. reliability, etc. would be appreciated. Currently have a Honda CBR 954 which I love, wonderful performance, and fairly comfortable for a full on sport bike. Alas my 68 year old back is needing a more upright position the Tuono seems like a great sport bike ride with upright ergos.

just ran across this query--I have an 04 Tuono for sale in the Seattle area. I love it--but need to lighten the load and move on to something different.

to answer your questions, my experience is that 150 miles is a stretch. I can usually get 130 without worry, but if I am riding hard, it comes down a bit. I have an Akro can and a chip-set by Factory Pro (done at FP on their dyno).

Also, there are no fancy anti-theft devices on this year. Obviously it is EFI, but overall a straight forward design.
