An MX / RX / SX forum for the 2 stroke 50 and 125's in Aprilia Off-Road Motorcycles section would be useful' if this happens i would suggest moving the 2 threads below into that section..

Hey there

We can always add more sections if the community would like them. Does anyone else have input on this?

Most of the community hasn't been active for quite a while, if members created MX 50, RX 50, SX 50, MX 125, RX 125, SX 125, ETX 125, Pegaso 125 threads in Other Aprilia Motorcycles, those model specific threads would soon become hard to locate in 100+ forum thread pages when more people sign up and post threads about every other model.

Some bikes use the same engine with a few internal differences, every other part bolted to the frame may be of completely different size, shape, spec, and fitment.

How to grow a community: give it somewhere to post useful informative threads that won't prematurely disappear into archive history, keeping model specific threads in 1 or 2 separate sections increases chances of members helping out other members since they could easily find model specific threads w/o surfing the whole forum with an endless search function.

Half the time' threads on internet forums get posted in completely the wrong sections by the simple or oblivious newbie, reducing those chances = less thread moving = less stressful job for admins/mods.

that's a good point. We can always wait until the forum grows a little more to make smaller sections.

Grows in post figures, or new member figures?

Post count is more important than member count.. unless apriliatalk separates itself from the norm, and prefers a very low key zombie community?

Perhaps i misunderstood that internet forums were created for the purpose of community input and scholar administration..

*edit - Posts 17 - 20 moved from http://www.apriliatalk.com/forums/ap...provement.html*

People who can't understand how to use the search function are usually the same people who have trouble looking through a bunch of sub forums.

Creating sub forums that have only 1 or 2 posts is a waste of time and space. Especially on a forum that has had posts from only a dozen people in the past year.

Suppose every other apriliatalk sub-forum was created for a different reason?

Would these threads below be considered a "waste of time and space" if posted in an RX 50 / SX 50 sub-forum?

http://www.apriliatalk.com/forums/ap...-upgrades.html
http://www.apriliatalk.com/forums/ap...rx50-sx50.html
http://www.apriliatalk.com/forums/ap...-throttle.html

Already 4 threads specific for the 2006> enduro / sm 50's. 2 more threads currently in development = 6 threads = more than 1 or 2 posts.

Maybe due to the fact that part of the community have no specific sub-forums to post in? those small capacity 2 strokes are more common that one might realize.

Could you spare the decency and move these 2 posts to the New Site Look and Feedback Thread to avoid derailing this thread any further? k. thanks.

Sure, if you can "spare the decency" to remove your "talking to a brick wall" comments above, since Admin answered you in that thread.
