Default Ben, 32, Vancouver, BC, '04 RSV Factory

Recently wrote off an SV1000S & am currently in the process of importing an RSV from the USA. Anyone with advice regarding the importation process - your comments would be appreciated. Also, there's a couple outstanding recall issues as well (swingarm, rear brake). Having never dealt with an OEM recall before, I could also use some advice there. Do recalls have to be handled while the bike is on warranty or within a certain time frame from date of recall issue? Would a US bought Aprilia need to have it's recall handled in the US - or could it be handled once I get the bike back to Canada? Any one have any contact information for the Canadian Aprilia distributor?

I have a Scarabeo 50, 2003. Do I have the right group?
I'm trying to locate the air filter, dumb as that sounds. I have a shop manual, but what I see in front of me after I've taken off the floor cover and other covers does not resemble what I see in the manual diagrams.

No sign of an air filter, at least not a configuration I'm familiar with. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Default Whole new deal

Hello,

I am 61, have never ridden, but am about to. I have "tried on" more bikes than I can recall (maybe it's my age?)--fine bikes all--but the Shiver seems to fit me best, so I will soon be a Shiver owner/rider. I have a lot of questions so I'll go to the appropriate forum and start asking. Glad I found you.

My current bikes are an 05 GSXR 1000, 06 CRF450R and Blata Origami. Gosh, bikes I have owned... 81 YZ125H, 84 CR500, 85 Honda MB-5, 89 Ninja 750, 89 ZX-7, 98 ZX-7... and now the three mentioned above.

I am really looking forward to getting an 09RSV4 Factory next year!!!

Default New member introduction

Hi,

My name is David, I am located in Taipei, Taiwan and I am a 36y, male.

I stopped counting how many bikes I have owned but I currently own 0.

I moved here to Taiwan 9 months ago and I disbursed my collection prior to leaving Hawaii.

I have owned:

1990 Kawasaki KR-1
1991 Kawasaki KR-1s
1992 NSR250
1995 Aprilia RS250
1997 Aprilia RS250
1994 RGV Gamma 250
1988 VF750F
1990 RVF400R
1995 CBR250RR
1994 GSXR400R
1989 RC30 (VFR750R)
1989 RC31 (GT647 punched to a 705)
1988 883 sportster (jugged to a 1200)
1990 Bandit 400
1986 GSXR750
1988 GSXR1000
1972 Honda XR125 Enduro
And many more I don't remember or didn't leave a lasting impression.

I am in the market and searching for an Aprilia RS125 (circa 1995-1997). Apparently the most fun you can legally have on the Taiwan roads since the 250cc 2-smoke are illegal.

My dream bike is the Ducati 748R in Ducati Yellow. Or a 1990 Hona NR750.

If anybody has any tips on owning or finding a good RS125, please ping me.
