need help for a friend

i have a Buddy who owns a 2005 Aprilia. He does not communicate as well in english as he does in Italian and is not computer literate either. He rides infrequently. some times the bike sits for 3 weeks. recently he took it in for breakin svc and now it smokes bad if he lets it sit. The dealer is an hour away and he is loosing faith in them. Has anybody had a simular problem with excess smoke after letting the bike sit? (I know there are plenty of good people ready to ride it daily for him to prevent this from happening again- sorry ...not an option) Thanks in advance. V.

give the bike a good shake before starting up. also dont let the bike tick over for too long before riding and dont thrash it straight away. good luck. Ciao
