1993 RS125 Extrema

Hi All,

I am new here and need some help and advice.

I have just bought a 1993 RS125 Extrema - the bike has a 154 Polini top end and twin arrow exhausts.

I am quite handy at DIY mechanics so I am going to attempt a full and thourough service.

I need to know if there are any areas I should be looking at for wear and tear and whats good to replace to be on the safe side, the bike is 18 years old however I think the older ones are better looking than the new -Just my opinion.

Anyway here are a few questions

My bike is a grey import - is it de-restricted??

I cant seem to find parts listed for a 1993 model, are the parts the same as the RS50?

When riding I cant get the speedo needle past 100kmh (60mph) the bike seems to pull OK etc but top end is a little iffy - what could be the likley source, carb cleaning, new plugs etc??

Any advice you could give me or info about the specific bike would be a great help.
