on and off Aprilia?

A buddy just emailed me about this...any ideas?

After some start of season work...suddenly as i was driving to work the bike completeley shut off and went skidding down the road. i couldnt start it unless i jumped start it then it did the same thing again over and over again!!!! ahhhh what should i do?

did all his electronic's turn off also?

first check the connections to the battery.

then check and make sure the battery is good

get a service manual and test your stator (like an alternator for cars)

and your rectifier (which regulates the charge that the stator puts out)

if all these things check good then have your friend go through his wiring harness and look for shorted wires
