The Aprilia Superbike, the bike that will bring the Noale, Italy based company back to four-stroke racing in 2009, has been unveiled for the first time during the Piaggio Group Convention in Milan.
After the success in the 2007 World Championships with Aprilia riders and bikes dominating the 125 and 250 classes (winning all four titles, a repeat of the 2006 performance), the Veneto company gave a preview of the eagerly awaited RSV 4 "Race Machine."

2007 EICMA Show |
|
Feb 08, 2008 - 11:41 AM - by administrator

The EICMA show in Milan is the place to be to see all the unveilings from European manufacturers. Yesterday Ducati uncovered its three new models for ’08 (the 1198cc 1098R, new 848 and totally redone Monster 696), and today the wraps came off the rest of the Euro manufacturers.

MV has upgraded the Brutale with a bigger 982cc engine and is offering a blue F4 with the number... [Read More]

Enter the Diablo's replacement, the Diablo Rosso. Pirelli makes a good case retiring the Diablo. It's not just about the life cycle of a product... [Read More]

Feb 08, 2008 - 11:37 AM - by administrator

In the parable of the Grasshopper and the Ant, the Ant toils through the summer. He slaves away in Nature's little cubicle, storing grain and filing copies of The Economist. Meanwhile the Grasshopper plays in a rock band and gets all the chicks. Come fall, though, the temperature drops and the fun stops.
For this grasshopper, it is the effect of the cold on my hands that signals the end of my riding season. There are many possible approaches to remedy this, including heated gloves, heated hand-grips (thin inserts that go between the grips and the handlebar) or small inserts that... [Read More]
